Is it “Bristol Safe from Zombie Attack!” … We talk a lot about the Good News of Christmas – Jesus is born, good news for all people – but why is it such good news? Well hopefuly, as you’ve explored this Advent Window trail, you will have discovered some of the reasons that Christians think Christmas is such good news. At the heart of it is this: when the baby Jesus Christ was born and laid in that Manger, God himself came to us. He came to be with us. He came to share our joys and our struggles and he came to save us from all the wrong things we do and to bring us back to life with him. Jesus came to bring God to us and Jesus is the one who can bring us to God. As it says in John’s Gospel in the Bible, to all who receive Jesus, to all who believe in his name, he gives the right to become Children of God. This is the Good News of Christmas.
